(BREAKING) Got7 Is Leaving JYP Entertainment

On January 9th, An industry insider revealed that the members of GOT7 would part ways with JYP Entertainment.

The insider stated

“The GOT7 members are very close. They agreed to stay together, but they disagreed on the choice of their agency. After multiple discussions with the company, they decided to part ways.”

According to Dispatch, the rumors about the members meeting with different agencies were true. Member Jinyoung will continue acting under the agency BH Entertainment. Youngjae will reportedly sign with the Sublime Artist Agency. Leader JB has been approached by many famous companies, including a popular hip hop label. However, the singer still hasn’t decided to sign with either label.

Yugyeom reportedly had his final meeting with AOMG and is allegedly ready to start anew at the company. BamBam is reported to have signed a contract with MakeUs Entertainment, home to the artist Sunmi formally of the JYP Ent girl group Wonder Girls. Dispatch also revealed that Jackson will promote through his label, Team Wang, and will promote in Korea through another label.

Mark will reportedly make his way back to the USA to his hometown of Los Angeles. According to Dispatch, he will also start a YouTube channel in the future.

An acquaintance close to GOT7 stated that…

 “The members care a lot about GOT7. Though they will each promote separately, they agreed to make time when GOT7 reunites.”

JYP Entertainment made a statement regarding Dispatch’s report

“We can not confirm which [agencies] each member is in contact with. We will inform you once our position regarding GOT7’s contract renewal is ready.”
