WEi Make Their Highly Awaited Debut With “TWILIGHT”
The wait is over for all the fans waiting for the OUI boys to debut!
On October 5th, 6 PM KST, the 6-member group released their first mini-album ‘IDENTITY: First Sight,” as well as a music video for their title track ‘TWILIGHT.’
‘TWILIGHT’ was composed and written by Flow Blow and PENTAGON’s Hui! WEi member Daehyeon also participated in writing the song’s lyrics, which expresses the desire for that happy ending and to reach for your dreams with someone you love. It’s a catchy pop track that encases some alternative R&B elements. The catchy whistling and the boys’ experienced musicality make this debut so much more memorable!
WEi consists of 6 members: Daehyeon, Donghan, Yongha, Yohan, Seokhwa, and Junseo. If you have been around and watched your fair share of idol survival shows, you may have seen these boys before their debut. Members Daehyeon, Donghan, Yohan, and Seokhwa have all participated in the Produce series, and Yongha and Junseo were in Under 19.
Nearly all of them have been in project groups or made music releases before, as well. Daehyeon was in the third project group from Produce 101 Season 2, Rainz. Donghan was in the second project group from Produce 101 Season 2, JBJ, and had been promoting as a solo artist since 2018. Yongha and Junseo have made into Under 19’s group, 1THE9, being ranked 6th and 9th respectfully. Lastly, Yohan was crowned no.1 on Produce x 101 and was in the final lineup for their project group, X1 (which is now wrongfully disbanded due to the Mnet scandal).
